Man Accused Of Robbing Woman Of Her Vehicle

A Villa Ridge man is accused of robbing a woman of her vehicle while armed.

Rocky W. LaChance, 45, has been charged with first-degree robbery.

He is being held without bond at the Franklin County Jail.

According to the probable cause statement, the victim owed money to LaChance.

LaChance allegedly sent threatening messages about coming to find the victim on April 19.

When LaChance arrived at the victim’s home, he ordered them to hand over the keys to their vehicle.

The victim said they didn’t want to. LaChance lifted his shirt, revealing a pistol tucked into his waistband. The victim handed over the keys and LaChance left.

A few hours later, Franklin County sheriff’s deputies made contact with LaChance. Deputies recovered the keys.

Deputies found a gun on the floorboard, which was a BB gun. Another pistol in the center console also turned out to be a BB gun.
