Lonedell Man Arrested On Federal Drug Charge

A Lonedell man was arrested on a federal drug charge July 10.

Joshua D. Mulford, 48, was one of four people taken into a custody as Franklin County sheriff’s deputies and the Franklin County SWAT Team executed a search warrant in the 500 block of Seven Springs Road.

Mulford was not at the home, but law enforcement later found him elsewhere.

Mulford has been indicted by the federal government for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

According to the sheriff’s office, officers went to the home around 6:30 a.m. A large amount of methamphetamine was located, along with paraphernalia and three handguns.

Two male subjects and a female subject were arrested during the search and charges against them are pending.

Mulford was transported to St. Louis and turned over to the U.S. Marshal’s Office.

Mulford was arrested by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 9, 2023 after he was allegedly in possession of more than one pound of meth.

Charges were filed for second-degree drug trafficking and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mulford was stopped on Highway 8 after deputies were alerted that he was possibly intoxicated.

Multiple bags of meth were seized fro his vehicle, totaling more than 461 grams.

According to the probable cause statement, Mulford has an extensive criminal history of drug possession in California.

Those charges for Mulford are no longer accessible through online court records.

Mulford was charged in January 2024 with resisting arrest and speeding in the city of Sullivan.

The charges stem from an August 2023 arrest when he allegedly refused to pull over on Highway 185 and drove up 115 mph.

A plea hearing is scheduled for July 31.
