Labadie Man Shot, Suspect Arrested In Kentucky

On 07/11/2022 at approximately 12:40 P.M  the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 2000 block of Highway 100 located in Labadie, Missouri for a shooting. Upon the arrival of Deputies and EMS, they found a 40-year-old male with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the arm. The victim was able to identify the person who shot him as Kristopher T. Coleman, a 43-year-old male, whom the victim knew. The victim stated that him and Coleman got into a verbal argument, during the argument Coleman produced a gun and shot him. According to neighbors and the victim, the suspect left in a black 2018 grey Dodge Caravan.

During the investigation, Detectives learned that Mr. Coleman would possibly be heading to Kentucky where he has family. A warrant was issued for 1st degree assault and armed criminal action with a bond of $250,000 cash only. Our Office contacted the Lexington Police Department requesting assistance in locating the suspect. On 07/12/2022 Investigators with Lexington, Kentucky PD located the vehicle and later Christopher Coleman and placed him under arrest for the warrant.
