Inmate Found Dead At Franklin County Jail

A Lonedell man was found dead Nov. 11 at the Franklin County Adult Detention Center in Union.

Donald Stickler, 31, was unresponsive in his cell.

The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said Stickler had been deemed fit for confinement and transferred to the jail on Nov. 9, 

A detention officer and nurse entered his cell around 6:20 a.m. to dispense medicine and found Stickler.

The nurse tended to Stickler until paramedics arrived and pronounced him dead.

The sheriff’s office said there was no obvious sign of death. 

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
