Illinois Woman, Georgia Man Injured In Crash On Interstate 44
An Illinois woman and a Georgia man were injured Monday morning in an accident on Interstate 44 outside of Bourbon.
The woman was flown to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis to be treated for serious injuries.
The man had moderate injuries and sought his own treatment.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 7:37 a.m. at the 217 mile-marker.
The patrol said Terrence Davis, 47, Atlanta, Ga., was driving a 2014 Jeep Wrangler when he traveled off the road, struck an embankment and overturned several times before coming to a rest.
Keisha Malec, 46, Gurnee, Ill., was a passenger in the vehicle.
Both were wearing seat belts.
