Franklin County Man Punches Mother
A 47-year-old Franklin County man has been charged with third-degree domestic after allegedly punching his mother with a closed fist.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to the 1400 block of Old Highway 50 in Union for a domestic assault on Feb. 4.
Deputies arrived to the find the victim, a 66-year-old female, who stated that her son, Jeremy L. Crowe, 47, Union, had started arguing with her about his lost wallet and, during the argument, he hit her with a closed fist.
He then threatened to stab her with a knife. Crowe left the scene.
A witness to the incident was contacted and verified the victim’s statement.
Deputies located Crowe walking in the area and made contact with him at a gas station near Highway 50 and Prairie Dell Rd in Union. Crowe admitted he was in an argument with his mother about his wallet.
Crowe was arrested at the scene for domestic assault and transported to the Franklin County Detention Center and a warrant was issued for third-degree assault with no bond.
Crowe is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
