Franklin County Deputies On Scene Of Double Shooting In Gerald

At about 4:15pm, on February 9, 2022, Franklin Co Missouri 911/Communications received a report of a double shooting.  The female caller advised she had been shot twice and the suspect had shot himself. 

Emergency medical services responded into the scene to assess life threats to anybody involved in the incident.  As a result of their evaluation, two people were flown to a hospital in the St. Louis area and treated for their gunshot wounds.  At the timing of this release, the female victim is expected to make a full recovery from her wounds. The condition of the male is unknown.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Department is investigating a double shooting in the 1500 block of Flottmann Road in Gerald.

Major TJ Wild of the sheriff's department said everybody involved is accounted for and there is no additional threat to neighbors or citizens.

Both victims were transported to hospitals in the St. Louis area.

Information as to their condition is not known at this point.
