Four Avoid Injuries In Accident Tuesday On Interstate 44
Four people avoided injuries on Tuesday in an accident on Interstate 44 at the 229 mile marker.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 2013 Honda Fit experienced a tire failure. The vehicle, driven by David Garrison, 57, Sullivan, began to swerve and struck the towed unit of a 2013 Kenworth.
Garrison, Betty Garrison, 85, Sullivan, Melissa Pogue, 41, Coffeyville, Kan., and George Garrison, 52, Coffeyville, Kan., all avoided injuries, according to the highway patrol.
George Garrison and Pogue were not wearing safety devices.
Deon Troutt, 58, Only, Ill., was the tractor trailer operator.
Trout was uninjured and drove away from the scene.
