Florida Man Drowns In Current River

A Florida man drowned Sunday in the Current River, four miles north of Donipahn in Ripley County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said Sherron D. McCombs, 22, Tampa, Fla., was swimming in the river and began to panic.
He went under at 3 pm. and did not resurface.
His body was recovered and he was pronounced dead at 4:10 p.m.
