Fenton Woman Injured In Early Morning Crash On I-44
A Fenton woman sustained moderate injuries in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning after her car struck a patch of ice on Interstate 44.
The accident occurred at 1:29 a.m. near the 230-mile marker.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the 28-year-old driver was traveling eastbound in a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze when her vehicle lost control, slid off the right side of the roadway and collided with several trees.
The woman, who was wearing a seat belt at the time, was transported to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
