DHSS: 22 Overdose Deaths In Crawford County Since 2018
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services said 22 overdose deaths occurred in Crawford County between 2018-2020.
The data is part of a new opioid dashboard that has a county-by-county breakdown of overdoses — fatal and non-fatal — since 2018.
Nearly all the deaths that occurred in Crawford County were a result of opioids.
The county had 193 overdose emergency room visits over the three-year period.
The rate per 1,000 people was 2.69.
Crawford County’s rate was fourth highest among all counties from 2018-2020.
The city of St. Louis, Franklin County and St. Francois County had higher rates.
Audrain, Washington, Lincoln, Warren, Butler and Iron counties rounded out the top 10.
The city of St. Louis had the highest rate of opioid overdose deaths, with 77.8 per 1,000.
Jefferson County was second at 41.27 per 1,000.
Pulaski, Franklin, St. Louis, Phelps, Maries, Gasconade, Lincoln and Warren counties were the remainder of the top 10.
