Boast Wins, Public Safety Issues Pass With Crawford County Voters

The unofficial results from Crawford County show turnout was 65 percent in the 2024 election.

There are 16,794 registered voters and 10,924 cast ballots.

Crawford County had one big race, where District 2 Commissioner Jared Boast held off a write-in challenge from Kevin Roach.

Boast clinched another four years with 69 percent of the vote.

Boast had 4,446 votes to Roach’s 1,932 votes.

Crawford County voters also backed the Sullivan Fire Protection District’s Proposition Fire Safety (60 percent yes), North Crawford County Ambulance District’s Proposition Lifesaver (64 percent yes) and the creation of the Leasburg Fire Protection District (74 percent yes). 

Voters also chose Republicans for offices.

President, Donald Trump: 80 percent

Governor, Mike Kehoe: 79 percent

Lt. Governor, Dave Wasinger: 78 percent

US Senator, Josh Hawley: 76 percent

Secretary of State, Denny Hoskins: 78 percent

State Treasurer, Vivek Malek: 77 percent

Attorney General, Andrew Bailey: 80 percent

State Senate District 3, Mike Henderson: 80 percent

State Representative District 120, John Hewkin: 78 percent

US Representative District 3, Bob Onder: 77 percent

Amendment 2 (sports wagering), NO: 63 percent

Amendment 3 (abortion), NO: 68 percent

Amendment 5 (casino), NO: 62 percent

Amendment 6 (court fees for sheriffs/prosecutors retirement), NO: 62 percent

Amendment 7 (ban on ranked choice voting), YES: 73 percent

Proposition A (minimum wage increase), NO: 57 percent
