Authorities Seize Meth, Fentanyl From Cuba Residence

UPDATE: Charles W. Bell, of Cuba, was charged Thursday.

Bell faces two counts of delivery of a controlled substance.

The probable cause statement alleges that Bell had purchased the substances from St. Louis the previous night. He said he travels to the city several times a week to purchase meth and fentanyl.

Bell allegedly claimed to distribute meth, but use the fentanyl for himself.

One person was arrested during a drug-related search warrant Aug. 22 in Cuba.

Members of the Lake Area Narcotics Enforcement Group, Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Cuba Police Department, and Missouri State Highway Patrol executed the search warrant at a residence located in the city limits of Cuba.

A search of the residence was conducted and during that search approximately one-hundred (100) grams of methamphetamine and one -hundred and ninety three (193) capsules of fentanyl, items of drug paraphernalia utilized in the consumption and distribution of fentanyl and methamphetamine were located and seized. 

One subject was taken into custody and transported to the Crawford County Adult Detention Facility pending formal charges. We will update this post upon the issuance of charges.
