35th Meramec Community Fair Looks Positive Thus Far

The 35th Annual Meramec Community Fair was held June 21-25, with no rain impacting the fair this year and what appears to have been some strong numbers each night, possibly setting some record sales.

“We are so thankful that the weather, while hot, didn’t bring any heavy rains or storms our way and people really had a chance to come out and enjoy themselves,” said Meramec Community Fair President/Entertainment Chair James Bartle. “We saw some strong, if not record breaking gates, and strong vendor sales that also may have approached some records.”

Bartle stated that Fair Board Treasurer Jen Tracy is working to compile all of the invoices and receipts from the fair and a firm grasp on the 2022 fair should be known soon.

“We still have a number of invoices to come in and funds to come in from some of our vendors following the fair, but we should have a firm grip on where we are at soon,” said Bartle. “I can’t express my appreciation for each and every fair board member who stepped up, wore many hats, and helped this be such a great fair despite challenges that occur every year.”
