Two Injured On I-44 After Hydroplaning

Two Washington residents were injured April 20 after their vehicle hydroplaned on Interstate 44 in Crawford County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 22-year-old Washington woman had serious injuries, while a 27-year-old Washington man had moderate injuries.

Neither were wearing a seat belt.

The highway patrol said the woman was driving a 2006 Ford F-350. It began to hydroplane around the 210 mile marker, going off the left side and striking the cable barrier.

She was taken to a hospital in Creve Coeur.

The man was taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital.
