Steelville Woman Pleads Guilty In Murder Of Child's Father

A Steelville woman pleaded guilty on Monday to killing the father of her child.

Beau Dyer, 20, was sentenced to 30 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for the June 2021 murder of Albert Terry Barton. 

Dyer pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and armed criminal action in October.

Appearing in court on Monday, Dyer pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and armed criminal action.

She received 25 years for murder and five years for armed criminal action.

The sentences are to run consecutively.
