Road Work On Overpass Begins June 9
Road work will begin Monday, June 9 on the Highway C overpass in Bourbon and is scheduled to continue through Aug. 4.
Both entrance and exit ramps will remain open as construction gets underway.
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) initially scheduled work to begin June 23 and continue through Aug. 18.
Built in 1966, the bridge has a deteriorating deck that needs to be replaced, along with guardrail installation.
Travelers will have to use the Highway J overpass to get across town.
Cost of the project is approximately $630,000, according to MoDOT.
There are three bridge rehabilitation projects in Crawford County to be tackled this summer.
The Highway FF overpass bridge has been under construction since April 28. Construction is expected to be completed by June 20.
Built in 1968, the bridge has a deteriorating deck. The concrete barriers need to be update and a guardrail needs to be added.
Cost of the project is approximately $850,000.
The Beamer Lane bridge will start in mid-August and go through September.
