MoDOT Reopens Crawford County Bridge
The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) announced July 31 it had reopened the Dry Creek Bridge on Highway HH in Crawford County.
The bridge is located near Cherryville.
Construction crews from JK Concrete and Hauling, LLC, worked with MoDOT to complete the rehabilitation work.
The bridge, built in 1961, was closed June 3 to replace the deck.
MoDOT said the supporting structures of the bridge were in good condition, but the driving surface had deteriorated and needed to be replaced.
The new driving surface has been expanded to 22 feet. The existing structure is 20 feet.
All four corners of the bridge also have new guardrails installed.
JK Concrete and Hauling was awarded the project for $420,286.
The bridge has been among Crawford County’s top transportation priorities dating back to 2017.
MoDOT named the bridge to the 2024-2028 Statewide Transportation Improvement Plan (STIP) in 2023.
