Man Injured In Suspected DWI Crash
A Washington man had serious injuries in a suspected DWI crash Feb. 19 in Crawford County.
Bradley R. Poertner, 20, was arrested for felony DWI, failure to drive on the right half of the road and driving while revoked.
Poertner was traveling on Highway H at 10:40 p.m. His 2004 Dodge Ram began sliding on an ice-covered curve and traveled off the left side of the road.
The truck overturned several times.
The driver was taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for treatment. The Missouri State Highway Patrol said he was not wearing a seat belt.
Online records show that Poertner has been charged four times for driving while intoxicated, dating back to 2021. He has been sentenced to probation.
