Hearing For Vacating Portion Of Thickety Ford Set For March 12

A public hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, March 12 at 10 a.m. for vacating a portion of Thickety Ford Road in Bourbon.

According to the petitioner, a resident of Columbia, Ill., the road is not used by the public and the county has not had any expenditures in the last five years. 

“This is an unreasonable expense to the county,” according to the petition read by Presiding Commissioner Steve Black.

Twelve petitioners have signed on, though not all appear to be residents.
