Cuba Man Charged With Multiple Sex Crimes Against Juvenile Victims

A Cuba man was arrested June 11 after allegedly committing sex crimes against juvenile victims.

Shane Mullins, 29, faces two counts of enticement or attempted enticement of a child, one count of statutory sodomy or attempted sodomy with a person less than 14 and one count of third-degree child molestation.

All the charges are in Phelps County.

Rolla Police arrested Mullins on May 29.

According to the probable cause statement, a juvenile victim that was “extremely intoxicated” was transported to the hospital for possible sexual assault.

The victim was found lying in the back seat of a vehicle with Mullins on top of them. The victim “did not remember much” and claimed Mullins intoxicated them.

During the course of the investigation, the victim’s sister said Mullins had inappropriately touched them as well.

The second victim was given a forensic interview on June 11 and said Mullins provided them with alcohol and physically touched them.

Both instances allegedly occurred around the first two weeks of May.

Mullins knew the victim’s age and asked multiple times for them not to say anything.

He is being held without bond.
