CCR-1 Board Accepts New Salary Schedule For Drivers

The Crawford County R-1 School Board on Oct. 17 approved a new salary schedule for bus drivers. 

Under the new salary schedule, the starting hourly rate will be $17 per hour with no mileage. Routes with mileage over 60 will receive an additional $10 per day and over 90 an additional $20 per day.

The step increase per day is $1.20 per step, with a total of 31 steps.

Trip pay has been raised to $18 per hour from $15 per hour.

Substitute pay is now $15 per hour after being $13.75.

Under the previous salary schedule, the starting hourly rate was $14.40 plus mileage. 

The highest daily mileage is 93 miles and the lowest is 20.5 miles.

The step increase per day was 71 cents per day.

Snow Removal

Board members also approved the snow removal bid.

Boast Enterprises was the lone bidder.

According to the bid, the hourly rate will be $85 per hour per piece of equipment. 

Bourbon will have a priority of three out of 56 customers.

Boast will charge $28 per 100 pounds of salt spread.
