Franklin County Surpasses 1,600 Cases

Franklin County reported 20 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, exactly six months after the virus was first detected here.

Wednesday’s cases brought the total number to 1,601.

The positivity rate continues to climb. Overall, it is 5.81 percent and over the last 14 days, it is 11.35 percent.

The 10-day rolling total is 290 and the five-day average of new cases is 29.6.

There are 10 people hospitalized and five in long-term care facilities.

Franklin County has lost 28 people due in part to COVID-19.
