County Reports New COVID-19 Death, Hospitalizations Rise To Highest Level Since February
Franklin County reported its 180th death due in part to COVID-19 on Friday, along with the highest level of hospitalizations since early February.
The latest COVID-19 death was a 57-year-old Sullivan man.
Hospitalizations jumped to 11, the highest since Feb. 5 when 13 patients were in the hospital.
Four cases were detected in long-term care facilities.
New Cases
The county reported 187 new cases for the week ending July 30.
That is up from 104 cases for the week ending July 23.
Franklin County’s 14-day average of new cases is now up to 14.
The county has now reached 10,093 total cases and 2,438 probable cases.
The seven-day positivity rate is 11.6%.
