County Reports 14 COVID-19 Related Deaths

Franklin County reported Thursday that 14 people died due in part to COVID-19 between Dec. 30, 2020 and March 1.

To date, 167 residents have confirmed deaths and there are 27 probable deaths.

The latest deaths are:

83 yo Female, Union
77 yo Male, St. Clair
71 yo Male, St. Clair
71 yo Female, Sullivan
65 yo Female, Union
96 yo Female, Pacific
83 yo Male, Pacific
89 yo Male, Washington
90 yo Female, Union
96 yo Male, Washington
75 yo Male, Washington
73 yo Male, Washington

The probable deaths are:

(p) 80 yo Male, Robertsville
(p) 69 yo Female, Pacific

Franklin County receives death information from the state.

Between Thursday and Friday, there were 29 new cases reported. Eighteen cases were reported Thursday.

Active cases in long-term care facilities remain at zero, but four people are hospitalized.

The seven-day positivity rate is 4.2%.
