County Records, 2,500 Cases, Five More Deaths
Franklin County reached 2,500 cases of COVID-19 on Thursday after 51 new patients were identified.
On Wednesday, the county reported that five people had died due in part to the virus.
The deaths are a 78-year-old St. Clair woman; 82-year-old Union woman; 77-year-old Robertsville woman; 80-year-old Robertsville man and 96-year-old New Haven woman.
Franklin County has reported 10 deaths since Oct. 14.
The county said Thursday its rolling 10-day total is 371 and the 14-day average of new cases is up to 35.21.
The number of patients in long-term care facilities is at 42, while hospitalizations have fallen to 15.
The positivity rate over the last 14 days is 9.08 percent.
