COVID-19 Cases Up, Two Deaths Reported
The state of Missouri reported two additional COVID-19 deaths occurred in Crawford County.
As of Sept. 15, there have been 49 deaths due to the virus.
Cases rose week-over-week, though the seven-day positivity rate dropped.
Crawford County recorded a 37.7% increase in testing.
There were 64 cases reported, a 20.8% week-over-week increase.
The seven-day positivity rate dropped to 10.9%, a 2.6% decrease week-over-week.
The county has reported 2,919 cases and 457 probable cases.
Crawford County’s vaccination rate nudged up to 31.1%.
Statewide
Missouri saw a 1.8% increase week-over-week.
The state had 11,105 new cases over the last seven days.
The daily average was over 1,500, up from 1,400 per day the week prior.
Missouri did see a drop in the positivity rate to 10.2% as testing grew 10.9%.
The state has totaled 661,110 cases, 138,220 probable cases and 11,062 deaths.
There were 32 new deaths reported over the last week.
Vaccinations
The state reported fewer than 10,000 doses administered per day for the week ending Sept. 17.
Missouri hasn’t administered more than 10,000 shots in a day since Sept. 10.
Vaccinations grew among the entire population by a paltry 0.5% for the week, growing from 52.5% to 53%.
Of the 18 and up population, 64.3% have initiated vaccination and 57% have completed it.
Hospitalizations
Hospitalizations decreased across the state from 2,033 to 1,951.
ICU admissions dropped from 562 to 491.
ICU bed capacity increased from 13% to 17%.
The St. Louis region saw admissions decrease from 802 to 787.
ICU admissions decreased from 199 to 185.
