County Reports 67 New Cases
Crawford County had 67 new COVID-19 cases for the week ending Aug. 25.
The seven-day positivity rate increased 2.5% week-over-week and was 14.3%.
The increase in cases was seventh-highest in the state.
Crawford County has confirmed 2,751 cases, 420 probable cases and 43 deaths.
Vaccination
As of Aug. 25, 29.9% of the population has initiated the vaccine and 25.7% have completed it.
There were 323 doses administered over a seven-day period.
State Vaccinations
The state has averaged just over 11,000 vaccinations over the last seven days.
Missouri has initiated vaccination for 51.5% of its total population and 44.7% have completed it.
Among those 18 and older, 62.6% have initiated vaccination and 54.7% have completed it.
Joplin has seen 59.2% of its population initiate the vaccine and Boone County 55.9%.
Franklin County is at 49.9%, which is one of the highest in the state.
Cases
Missouri is seeing cases trend down.
The daily average for the week ending Aug. 25 was 1,663, down from more than 1,800 the week prior.
The state has confirmed more than 626,000 cases.
Another 55 deaths were reported last week.
The state says 10,449 people have died due in part to the disease.
Hospitalizations
Hospitalizations for COVID-19 remain high, with 2,381 patients as of Aug. 25.
There were 693 patients in ICUs.
In the St. Louis region, 793 people were hospitalized and 204 were in ICUs.
