City Of Bourbon Approves Sewer Rate Increase

Bourbon city council members on Tuesday approved an $8 increase to the base sewer rate.
The increase takes it from $15 to $23 and will help pay for the $1.1 million UV wastewater disinfectant system.
The per gallons usage charge of $3.40 will remain unchanged.
A residence with an assumed flow of 5,000 gallons could see a monthly bill of $38.70.
Council members held a public hearing prior to voting on it and nobody showed up.
